  • Hi,

This is regarding your edit/s on Blasted Worlds. In your edit, you attached the line "probably not going to be obtainable anymore" next to the Monochromatic Blast. Please do note that this is purely speculation and/or opinion - this sort of thing is not permitted on the wiki. This wiki writes articles based on facts and saying that it "is probably not going to be obtainable" is not a fact, simply something that you thought would be the case. This may mislead other players who will think the item won't be coming back when it may actually. Please do not add any speculative material to articles.

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

This is regarding your message to do with the item sprites. If you read the bottom of the spritesheet, it clearly states "This spritesheet is made for internal use within Growtopia Wiki. Using any part of this image outside Growtopia is prohibited."

There are multiple reasons for doing this. Firstly, you aren't supposed to view the spritesheet. The spritesheet is there so that we can display item images in item templates. The spritesheet is not there for you to view, nor for personal use. Secondly, we don't own the copyright to the images and Ubisoft has laid out rules regarding use of their sprites which states that it cannot be used for commercial use (generally displaying it on a Youtube video can be considered commercial use). Thirdly, we want to prvent people viewing the item sprites to datamine and view images of items before they are released. There's a reason why Ubisoft doesn't publish it, however, since this is a public wiki, we would like to use these sprites but are not allowed to hide it if we upload it. That's why we take the responsibility to jumble it up, by doing so, nobody is going to be bothered to search through it because the order always changes.

So when you say "now nobody will find the item sprites required", that's the point. You aren't supposed to. Neither is anyone else. You shouldn't even be viewing it.

Hope this response covers your question. Thanks.

  • Hi, this is regarding the content you are adding to pages.

When adding content to pages, please try to add content which isn't useless. Things like "This is the first consumable added to the game" is only not true (it's first to show up on item sprites) but it provides anything useful to the page. Similar edits like your edit on the High Tech Wall and isn't useful. Try to add content like what the item does, its properties, its decription, when it was introduced, its recipe, things like that, not trivia on the fact that an item is farmable or not or the fact that it was the first item to be introduced into the game.

It clearly states in the Growtopia Wiki:Rules to add information that is relevant and useful and that useless information is to be removed. It doesn't mean you can't edit the wiki, but do try to follow proper structure, style, relevance and make sure to add in useful content. A good place to make sure you understand is by reading the Sufficiency section of the Growtopia Wiki:Rules which states that information should be added to make sure that the reader fully understands the subject or topic, anything more than that is unnecessary.

Thanks you for your time and keep editing!
